Gombe National Park
Gombe National Park is a small, remote park in western Tanzania on the shores of Lake Tanganyika, famous for its wild chimpanzees and the long term research conducted by Dr Jane Goodall. Accessible only by boat from Kigoma, visitors can hike through steep valleys to see habituated chimpanzees, as well as other primates like baboons, red colobus, and red tailed monkeys, and over 200 species of birds.
Gombe National Park in Tanzania can be visited throughout the year however, the dry season from June to October is considered the most favorable time.
