Lomo Tanzania Safaris is a locally owned and operated safari company based in Tanzania, offering authentic and personalized safari experiences across the country’s most iconic destinations — from the endless plains of the Serengeti to the majestic Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire, Lake Manyara, and the pristine beaches of Zanzibar.
The company was founded by Mr. Erasto, a passionate Tanzanian wildlife guide with over 19 years of experience in the safari industry. Born and raised in Tanzania, Erasto began his guiding career in 2003 at the Selous Game Reserve, in the southern part of the country. His deep love for nature and wildlife led him to the Mwewe Training College in Serengeti, where he qualified as a ranger. Over the years, Erasto worked as both an assistant and head ranger for luxury camps across the Serengeti, mastering the art of guiding and sharing his knowledge of the bush with visitors from around the world.
During one of his safari expeditions, Erasto met a Dutch couple who shared his vision of creating a safari company that not only provides exceptional travel experiences but also gives back to the community. Together, they founded Lomo Tanzania Safaris — a company built on passion, partnership, and purpose.
